We have three rooms now, with new carpet, huge windows, but still lots and lots of CHAOS! Some of the bookcases still have to go up...
A lot of the books have to be sorted and shelved...
And the coffee maker and cafe chairs aren't in yet...
BUT come anyway and see all our new stuff in the new site. You go in the door on the mall that says" Lento's" and "mall entrance". Take the elevator to the third floor, walk all the way to the back, and there we are!
If you ask nicely, we will even show you our "safe room" (Sorry, there is no Jodie Foster in this one.)

Bag sale last day!
Today's the final day of the bag sale in our current location. $1 a plastic grocery bag. We still have a large selection, so stop by between 11 and 4. We're also giving out 20% coupons for your first purchase in the new shop.
If you like to buy in bulk, we'll be happy to hear offers for the remaining bag sale books at 3:45 p.m. this afternoon. You would be responsible for boxing and moving the books, preferably on Wednesday, April 27 when we have a work day scheduled all day for the balance of the moving chores. We can supply the boxes but you would need to supply the muscle.
The new shop will open the same day, Wednesday the 27th. See you then!

Moving sale starts Tuesday, 4/19!
At long last, we're ready for a big old Bring Your Own Bag sale in our soon-to-be vacated shop. We have a couple thousand books we're not planning on moving that can be yours for $3 a plastic grocery bag or even less.
Sale hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and the prices will be $3 a bag on Tuesday and Wednesday, $2 a bag on Thursday and Friday, and only $1 a bag on Saturday. These prices are tax included.
We also have a few fixtures and some other odds and ends for sale. This will be a cash-only final sale. We look forward to seeing you one last time in the old space and then soon in our new larger shop across the courtyard where we'll be open for business starting Tuesday, April 26.

Beginning reader books- Charlie Brown, Walt Disney and Sesame Street
I have been holding off blogging because of the craziness of moving the bookstore across the courtyard, but these books are too cute not to write about.
The Sesame Street Treasury, Volumes 1-15. (1983)
Filled with stories, games and cartoons starring Jim Henson's Muppets, these books are a delight. You can buy the whole set for $5.
Walt Disney's Fun-to-Read Library (1986), a set of 19 books but missing vol. 5, 11, 12 and 18.
The missing books include ones about Pooh. (Guess we know who the original owner of this set loved the best.) Still left are Mickey, Thumper, Dumbo, Donald, Goofy and a whole lot more. Buy them each for $.50.
Best of all, check out Charlie Brown's 'Cyclopedia (1980) Vol.1-10, and 12-15
Each one of these has a topic: animals, things that move, electricity, holidays.... The one that sounds the strangest is #8: Planets and Plants. (Huh?). Buy them all for $7, or individually for $0.50.
Come in and look at them stuck in the back hall. They are so lonely away from all the other children's books already over at the new store. Won't you come and take them home?
