Werner Knop's Prowling Russia's Forbidden Zone (first edition, 1948, hardcover, 200 pages)

This is the exciting story "of what Knop saw, heard and experienced on his hazardous mission" which included talking to both anti-Communists and unsuspecting Red Army officers, and entering slave camps and uranium mines. When he escaped into the American zone he was 40 pounds thinner. He is certainly braver than most of us. You can check out this book located in the glass case. (The shelf where it really should be is blocked by two tall rows of boxes.) The Internet price was $12, but you can buy it here for only $4. What a steal.
